Pathfinder

We're going to delay Jupiter (RPM 4.0) again to do another smaller release. Work has begun on Pathfinder (RPM 3.5). This release will likely have 2 important, popular features. I can't comment on those yet. I should be able to provide more information by the end of the year.

However, I can mention 2 minor improvements that the next version will bring. First, we're adding direct customer, account, agency, and rep Excel imports for the staff user. Second, we fixing the way phone numbers are managed. You'll be able to save any format of number, including international or even just text. If RPM sees you've entered a North American format number, it will apply a common formatting.

So why the codename "Pathfinder"? A previous post explains why we use codenames. As for the choice for this version, you can see by the RPM Product history, all 3.x codenames are mars related.
