Process management example uses:
Quotes
A “Quote process is modeled in RPM. In doing so a staff user built a Quote template that defines the information each quote must contain, the status levels each quote can be at.
An agent user can logon and start a quote. They fill in certain required fields and the system automatically adds their support staff user as a participant. When that staff user next logs on to RPM they see a new quote waiting for them. These users work on the quote adding information, adding other participants, advancing the status, attaching files, and adding actions. Many quotes are worked on in this fashion.
The staff users create custom views to manage the quotes they are concerned with. Staff users in management positions create custom views and look at quote summaries to keep track of the quote process. A staff user from the commission department doesn’t work on quotes, but creates a quote view to gather information that is going to affect her department. While supporting an agency a sales support staff user sees a list of all the quotes this agency has worked on, a complete quote history with every detail. While working in the trouble ticket process, another support user references a quote that is related to a particular trouble ticket. A junior executive staff member creates a custom view then downloads the resulting quote list to Excel to create a report.
