Commission rules

Commission groups

Products are matched to commission groups so the commission can be calculated from the commission schedule. There are three ways to match a product to a commission group:

  • Match products page. There is a page dedicated to matching products to the schedule. From the commission run “Imports & depositsâ€? page click on the number of unmatched products. If a product is unmatched on it’s details page there will be a link to “Use match toolâ€?
  • Product page. On the details page of a product click “Editâ€? in the “Commissionsâ€? section.
  • Move. Products may be moved from group to group. From the “Select a productâ€? page click “Moveâ€? in the top right.

Agency addendums

In addition, agencies may be given addendums to their schedule for specific products.

See Agency addendum

Security

Staff users

  • Adding, editing (including matching), and deleting products requires the “Master commission schedule & templatesâ€? privilege.

Agent users

  • Agent users see product names only. If a product has been given a preferred name, agent users will see that instead.

Adding a product

There are two ways to add a product:

  • Automatic. When RPM imports a new product it adds it to the system.

Best practice: This is the recommended way to create products.

  • Manual. From the “Supplier tasksâ€? click “Add a productâ€?.
