Summary
A subscriber is a company who has purchased RPM. They are likely a telecommunications master agent or reseller. A subscriber is an agent or reseller of one or more suppliers and has agents of their own. The users who represent the subscriber are called staff users and have, by far, more functionality in RPM than other users.
- Note: Since the URL is shared, users in subscribers in the same deployment must use unique usernames.
RPM is subscriber centric, meaning everything is arranged from the point of view of the subscriber.
- Example: Gross commission is the commission the subscriber receives and gross profit is the subscriber’s gross profit.
Commission rules
The subscriber receives commissions and commission data from their suppliers. The staff users of the supplier setup commission rules and upload that data so RPM can calculate the commission due to the agencies of the subscriber. All the commission functionality in RPM is there to support this.
Security
Data in one subscriber is isolated from data in other subscribers.
Staff users
- All staff users see the contact information of their subscriber. Editing this information requires the "Edit subscriber" privilege.
